the room was large it had everything necessary for a comfortable stay
the room was located directly above the kitchen there was a very loud ventilation system the system ran until late i found the noise unpleasant even with the windows closed

The staff was always happy. They offered a warm welcome. The evening meal was excellent. The room included milk in the fridge and chocolates. Dog treats for our k9 friends were thoughtful.
The location is down a single track lane.

I found the evening meal to be excellent. The pub and restaurant were clearly very popular. The cooking bacon smelled delicious. I had really nice breakfast and then came back for a Sunday roast, both lovely.

The location is in the countryside. It has views across the downs. All around are lovely walks and views. A pretty landscaped garden must be lovely. I found this place a gem.

slow servicelimited ventilation
The breakfast SERVICE felt rather slow. I waited quite a while before anyone took my order. also, i noticed the lack of air conditioning in the room made it a little stuffy. the window offered limited ventilation. i found it challenging to regulate the temperature to my liking. this aspect detracted from an otherwise pleasant stay. I was hoping for more comfort in that regard.

the staff was really cute. the box of teas and fresh milk in the room was appreciated. i also liked the bath robes they provided.
there was no air conditioning in the room.
